URGENT Requirement - As Project Manager, you will liaise with customers whilst managing a multi-disciplined team to ensure programme milestones are aligned, delivering to both financial and time requirements.

The Programmes Department is at the heart of our Client`s value stream; from managing the Original Equipment New Product Introduction process into the business, delivering high standards following gated methodology to managing the forward plans of the Retrofit demand.

Our Client designs and manufactures exhaust after-treatment systems, reducing emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and equipment and also supplies replacement products to the UK and European independent Aftermarket.

Project Manager Role:

You will be responsible for applying the following independently, in situations of limited complexity:

Promoting the company`s values in all actions, acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of programme teams and organisation.
Developing and managing teams.
Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups.
Preparing and maintaining definitions of the requirements of projects.
Determining the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project objectives and constraints i.e. developing solutions.
Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events of projects and/or programmes in portfolios, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.
Developing, implementing and updating resource allocations plans needed for projects, taking account of availabilities and scheduling.
Managing budgets for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs against them.
Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects.
Applying quality management processes for project activities and outputs.
Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements).
Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.
Establishing and managing reviews at appropriate points, during and after projects, which will inform governance of projects by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies and continuing relevance.
Managing change of scope to the projects and updating configuration documents as required.
Ability to be flexible to undertake project / programme management related activity.
Ability and willingness to travel, both across UK and overseas where required.
Any other duties assigned in line with scope of role.

Project Manager Requirements:

Driving licence.
Knowledge and experience in application of Project management tool and techniques.

Experience with Procurement, Contract Management, Requirements Management, Solutions Development, Schedule Management, Resource Management, Budgeting & Cost Control, Risk, Opportunity & Issue Management, Consolidated Planning, Governance Arrangements, Stakeholder & Communications Management.
Reviews, Change Control, Business Case, Capability Development experience.
Effective communication, Team-building skills.
Technical expertise.
Approved Project / Programme management qualification desirable.
PRINCE2 desirable.
Higher National Qualification, Degree, or equivalent Professional Qualification desirable.
Membership of a Professional body desirable.
Automotive industry experience desirable.
APQP / PPA and IATF working knowledge desirable.
Quality/Transition/Financial Management desirable.
