Electrical Design Engineer - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer (or Senior, experience dependant) to join the Engineering team of the world`s number 1 manufacturer of specialist vehicles.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will join a highly focused passionate team, working on exciting new programmes to both maintain and extend our client`s market penetration.

Electrical Design Engineer Role:

Working in a small team, or individually, delivering the electrical design scheme and drawings for construction or agricultural vehicles.
Liaising with suppliers to guarantee on time quality delivery.
Supporting prototype builds and resolving issues.
Creating and maintaining project documentation.
Office based at head office - engineers are considered key workers in the latest Government guidance).
39 hours/week.
All IT equipment and licenses provided.

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

Essential:
MUST HAVE Experience with Zuken E3 Harness Design electrical design tools.
Engineering calculations for electrical load balance and wire sizing.
Experience working with low voltage 12/24V DC vehicle systems.
Practical hands-on electrical fault-finding and testing skills.
Knowledge of harness routing and design for manufacture.
Able to plan, prioritise and manage own time.
Degree or HNC level academic qualification in related topic.

Desired:
Experience in off-road/construction or rail industries.
3D harness routing using Siemens NX CAD.
Knowledge of vehicle network standards.
Awareness of functional safety.
Risk assessing and DFMEA.
Experience with Hazardous voltage (<1000V) electrical systems.
Experience with AC electrical systems.
