JOB DESCRIPTION

TEAM LEADER IN CO DURHAM

As an experienced Team Manager, you will be working 5 days a week in a 3-shift rotation (6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am), this will include occasional weekends.

You will be in charge of 6 team leaders with a total of 150 people underneath them. They will be the sole point of contact on the late and night shift.

Team Manager Role:

Manages, develops, and leads the daily activities of multiple production teams.
Responsible for the daily activities of multiple production teams including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.
Work cross functionally to improve safety, productivity, quality and efficiency of operations. Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.
Coaches and mentors team members.
Identifies training needs; develops and implements training plans.

Team Manager Requirements:

College, university or equivalent degree, or high school diploma or equivalent education and significant experience required.
Operations management experience in a production environment is required.
Significant level of supervisory experience required.
Prior Warehouse or automotive sector experience is not required but is a plus.
Good decision-making skills.
Good communication skills; both cross-functionally and across departments.
Be able to manage their own team.
Adhere to standards and enforce these standards.
