PRINCIPAL COMPLIANCE ENGINEER IN STAFFORDSHIRE

Principal Compliance Engineer to join the Materials Handling & Access Team, reporting to the Technical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small dynamic team, working to expand and improve our Client`s Access product range. This role will give you the unique chance to shape the future by being involved from conception through to delivery.

Principal Compliance Engineer Role:

Demonstrating and ensuring continued compliance to EN280, ANSI A92.20 & ISO16368.
Coordinating approval from notified bodies to relevant legislation.
Planning and facilitation of type tests both internally and with external test providers.
Simultaneous engineering: Presentation and contribution at design reviews to ensure that all designs comply from the start.
The creation and maintenance of formal design documentation; DFMEA, DVPSOR and machine technical construction files.
Reviewing and approving internal test reports.
Assisting with the creation and maintenance of customer level, software functional requirement documentation.
Representing the Company in external standards committees.

Principal Compliance Engineer Requirements:

Educated to HNC or degree level in an engineering subject.
A working knowledge of compliance, legislation & standards.
Be familiar with functional safety and EN13849.
A sound grasp of engineering principles with a logical approach to problem solving.
Able to prioritise and progress multiple projects in parallel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate and build good relationships at all levels across the business.
Be able to work to deadlines and deliver on time.
Be self-starting and have the ability to make things happen.
Take ownership of projects they are involved with.
Have a desire to invent the future and lead rather than follow.
Have a high level of commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm as well as a sense of urgency.
An understanding of access, lifting, off highway construction or agricultural equipment would be advantageous.
