Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required to join the current product engineering team with a world leading off-highway vehicle manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Materials Handling & Access Team with our prestigious Client.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be based at our Client`s World Headquarters. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, working to ensure that the product remains the worlds No 1 Telescopic Handler. There is also an opportunity to work on a brand-new range of Rotating Telescopic Handlers, which is a stalwart or the product line up. As a result, this role gives the right person the unique chance of driving engineering change in the business, from one of the highest volume products to some of the most sophisticated machines we design and build. This is a fast paced and varied environment, which will challenge your design talents, requires a willingness to learn and requires engineers to think differently to find robust solutions.
The Responsibilities of the role include:
Owning small but vital projects, ensuring their delivery matches the objectives.
Lead and coordinate products design requirements for our fleet operator customer needs.
Simultaneous Engineering: Design for assembly, manufacture and service.
Formal design documentation, creation and maintenance; DFMEA, DVPSOR
Engineering Interface with Sale & Marketing, Operations, Service and Quality teams
Leading and mentoring a small but highly essential offshore design team.

The Experience and Skills required for this role include:
Unigraphics and PLM operator, with a working knowledge of change management processes would be highly desirable.
Experienced in BOM structures and awareness of production system interactions
Aware of Compliance and Legislation & Standards.
Educated to HNC or Degree level in an Engineering subject.
Demonstrate sound grasp of engineering principles with a logical approach to problem solving.
Experience of off highway or agricultural machines would be an advantage.
