SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN WARWICKSHIRE

As Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing PC/Tablet/Phone based Diagnostic utilities for support of current and future products.

Software Engineer Role:

Engineer the full software life cycle – concept, specification, analysis, design, implementation and test of customer applications with rich and appealing HMI.
Depending on project requirements carry out development work on vehicles in the UK and abroad.
Support engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing.
Support service engineers in the field where specific assistance is required.
To develop software for company products according to company processes.
To develop software for in-house test purposes.
To support engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing.
To support service engineers in the field where specific assistance is required.
Follow product development processes including Project Management Model and APQP.
Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of Company Quality Policy.
Identify new processes and tools to improve the efficiency of the product development process and traceability.
Support and promote the company way.

Software Engineer Requirements:

Strong Object Oriented Programming experience and understanding.
Strong C++ and C# programming language skills.
MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class Library) experience is an advantage.
Proven experience of C# programming language in Windows desktop environment.
Knowledge of .NET Core.
Knowledge of WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).
Knowledge of MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) is an advantage.
Experience in unit testing is an advantage.
Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio.
Ability to use version control software such as SVN.
Experience with real-time systems is an advantage.
Experience with CAN protocols is an advantage.
Experience with PC support software for embedded applications.
Experience in Android and iOS application development is an advantage.
Experience with Automotive Diagnostics is an advantage.
Has the ability to work with others in a cross discipline team of engineers.
Has the ability to communicate at all levels, verbal, written and presentation.
Has the ability to solve problems and be self-motivated.
Any high-level qualification in an engineering or computer systems related discipline.
